Vinyasa / Flow Yoga
The word Vinyasa means "to place in a special way," so the postures are practiced in rhythm with the breath. This flow-style of yoga is an energetic and rejuvenating experience. A posture is held for a counted number of breaths before it flows into the next like a moving meditation. This class is open to all levels, but some prior yoga experience or moderate physical ability would be beneficial.

Ashtanga Yoga
Ashtanga yoga is a traditional system of yoga consisting of six set series of postures that are designed to be followed in sequence. The first series which will be our focus is known as the Primary Series. This is a challenging practice, but students are encouraged to rest when necessary -- gradually building up endurance over time. Although modifications will be given, this is not a beginner's class.
