Learn to calm and slow your mind and enjoy the benefits of deep relaxation in this 3-week workshop for beginners to seasoned practitioners. We will practice breathing and relaxation techniques and gentle yoga postures specifically curated to address the symptoms of stress-related anxiety. Each class will end with guided meditation that will help you learn to let go of the mental chatter and find a greater sense of ease in the body and mind. No experience necessary.

Join us for this 4 week therapeutic series of Yoga for back care taught by Stevi Self, E-RYT 500 and CYT (Certified Yoga Therapist). If you are dealing with chronic pain from a genetic condition, injury or degeneration, this class will help you to strengthen the muscles that support the spine, stretch the muscles that can be common culprits in back pain, and use mindful breathing to help you manage pain in a way that is healthy and proactive. (Please consult your physician first if you have had recent surgery that might prohibit some movements.)

Yoga can be defined as both “skill in action” and “relationship.” As a yoga teacher, you have the opportunity to skillfully relate to your students. You can touch them with your eyes, words, and hands, while you hold the space for exploration to unfold. The more you know about the inner workings of your body from the inside out, the more you can help guide that interconnection for others.
In this immersion, Cat will first introduce a relationship between compressive and tensile forces present in your bones and muscles as you embody asana. After which, you will apply that understanding to the role of assisting with a clear vision, encouraging instruction, and supportive touch. This will be a seriously playful integration of theory and practice.
Sample Daily Schedule for the 7 Day Immersion:

Cat’s facilitation in NVC (Non-Violent Communication) has helped bridge her conflict resolution skills to her yoga practice both on and off the mat.
